

DIRECTOR JAKE SCOTT JOINS UNTITLED JEFF BUCKLEY FILM
Will direct from script by Ryan Jaffe
LOS ANGELES (April 8, 2011) --- Director Jake Scott (Welcome to the Rileys) has come aboard to direct the Untitled Jeff Buckley biopic, the true story about the beloved rising star musician who lost his life in 1997 at age 30. Scott will direct from a script written by Ryan Jaffe. The project is being produced by Michelle Sy and Orian Williams. Buckley’s mother Mary Guibert, is the executive producer on the film and has given Scott her blessing on the project.

England- The cover story in the April issue of the UK Magazine NME, lists the “100 GIGS YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT”. The story features Jeff’s March 18th, 1994 performance at Bunjie’s/12 Bar in London at #86.

Los Angeles Ballet is currently touring its spring “Celebration” performance around Southern California. The three-part show includes the latest commissioned World Premiere, My Greatest Fear, created by our marvelous friend Sonya Tayeh. This is the last weekend to catch this performance before its brief run is over!
Sonya has been a dear part of the Jeff Buckley Music family since she joined our team to compose and master the choreography for The Last Goodbye last summer. She is one of the world’s most provocative and respected choreographers, and her exciting work on The Last Goodbye garnered rave reviews throughout its run at the Williamstown Theater Festival.
Sonya’s inspired piece for “Celebration” is not to be missed, and you can see video of Sonya and the Los Angeles Ballet rehearsing My Greatest Fear here…
The final two performances will be taking place at UCLA’s Freud Playhouse Saturday, March 19th @ 7:30 PM and Sunday, March 20th @ 2:00 PM.

Joel Eckels and Room 5 in Los Angeles became part of the Jeff Buckley Music Family this year by creating an amazing ‘Encore Night’ Jeff Buckley Tribute show in celebration of Jeff’s birthday. Many of the amazing musicians who performed at the November 15th Largo show joined a dozen other magnificent artists at Room 5 the following night, singing Jeff’s music, music that was inspired by Jeff, and music that inspired him.
Every performance was magical, and the atmosphere of Room 5, splendid.
